1. Characteristics of natural rubber
(1) The main components of natural rubber are cis-and trans-isoprene, which has good elasticity, large tensile strength and breaking elongation, resistance to bending, low heat generation and low hysteresis loss during use.
(2) Natural rubber has crystallinity, good self-reinforcing properties, and can be used with a variety of rubber.
(3) Natural rubber has good processing properties, poor resistance to polar solvents, oil and non-polar solvents, alkali resistance, strong acid resistance, weather resistance and ozone aging resistance.
(4) Natural rubber has a linear structure and internal double bonds, resulting in its own flexibility, strength, poor weather resistance, sticky and limp under high temperature, and brittle and hard under low temperature, restricting its range of use.
(5) Natural rubber has a certain plasticity at room temperature, becomes brittle at -70 ° C, is completely softened at 130-140 ° C, and will decompose at about 200 ° C.
2. Natural rubber applications
Natural rubber has a wide range of applications, and can be used in tire, hose, tape, rubber shoes, wire and cable, ordinary mechanical seals, sponge products, surgical medical supplies, printing special parts such as printing rollers and other most rubber products production. Taking the tire industry as an example, natural rubber can produce different parts of the tire tread, body, side and so on, and some inner tubes can also use natural rubber.
